Registration
- Lost your confirmation email barcode? No worries, simply visit the registration desk and say your name and we will print your name badge for you.
- I haven't received a confirmation email for my colleagues who I registered on my registration form? Your colleagues would have been emailed a confirmation email to the email address you entered next to their name.
- I have a free ticket, what do I need to do? Just bring along your ticket and complete a registration form onsite and present at the registration desk for free entry.
Conditions of Entry
- DesignBUILD is a trade-only event.
- Genuine trade professionals will only be allowed admittance to the expo. We recommend you bring along a business card or company documentation with your personal identification.
- All visitors to the show are to register and wear ID name badges - which must be visible on-site at all times.
- No product may be removed from the show without a show receipt.
- Smoking is not permitted within the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
- Entry to the exhibition is FREE if you pre-register online. If you register at the exhibition an entrance fee of $20 will apply.
- Once registered you are allowed to enter the show as many times as you like over the 3 days of the show.
Student Entry
- Only students who are enrolled in a recognised design, building and / or construction course or registered apprentices will be allowed entry to the exhibition.
- Student identification highlighting the relevant course will need to be presented on entry.
Photography Prohibited
- To protect the intellectual and product property rights of exhibitors, no video or still photography (including mobile phones) is permitted. These rules are strictly enforced and individuals caught taking unsolicited photography will be removed from the show.
- Permission to photograph products or stands within the show can only be granted with prior approval from the show organiser.
Canvassing
- Canvassing for orders by any unauthorised person(s) is strictly prohibited and in any such case the right of immediate expulsion will be exercised. The distribution or display of other placards, handbills and circulars, or other articles, except by exhibitors on their own stands, is strictly prohibited.
Children & Babies
- DesignBUILD is a trade-only event as such children under the ages of 15 years are not allowed to enter the show.
- Babies are an exception if they are carried in a baby sling / carrier / backpack. Prams and strollers are prohibited.
- It is highly recommended that any one attending the exhibition organise off-site care for children before they attend the show.
International Visitors
If you are from overseas and planning to visit DesignBUILD you need to apply for a business visa. The passport which you hold determines whether you can apply online, or if you need to lodge a paper-based application. Click here for more information.
Applications need to be made well in advance at the Australian Embassy in your country or in some cases can be made online. For more information visit the Department of Immigration website. Download the application form to apply for a temporary business visa.
Please note that the Organisers DO NOT provide visa invitation letters to international visitors.
RSS Feeds
RSS feeds are used for syndicating regularly changing content on a web site, including this one. You can open an RSS feed using an RSS reader and use it to see if there is any new content on this site or you can set up a server-side script to parse the feed and display it on your web site.
