Sustained high levels of economic activity in WA’s domestic economy and strong growth in resource sector exports have flowed into the state’s labour market, with full time employment rising by 1.5% in the 3 months to August 2005. The largest increase was in the construction industry with the number of employed persons rising by 20.1% (Source: ABS).
